On the Elevator with Kevin McHale
Guitar in hand, heading to the gig, the elevator door opens for me to get on. Lo and behold, the only other person on the elevator is NBA legend Kevin McHale. He’s not saying a word, and totally giving off that leave-me-alone celebrity vibe of “don’t look at me and PLEASE don’t talk to me.” (I had no intention of saying anything anyway.) The door opens at my floor, and before exiting, I look him right in the eye and say “Thanks for not asking me for my autograph.”
